SYNOPSIS
bzcmp [cmp_options] file1 [file2]
bzdiff [diff_options] file1 [file2]
DESCRIPTION
The bzcmp and bzdiff utilities are used to invoke the cmp or diff utility on bzip2 compressed files. All options specified are passed directly to cmp or diff. If only 1 file is specified, then the files compared are file1 and an uncompressed file1.bz2. If two files are specified, then they are uncompressed if necessary and fed to cmp or diff.

Messages from the cmp or diff utility refer to temporary file names instead of those specified.
Options
The bzcmp and bzdiff utilities accept and pass on the options used by the cmp and diff utilities, respectively.
DIAGNOSTICS
The bzcmp and bzdiff utilities preserve and return the exit status returned from cmp or diff, respectively.
NOTE
These utilities are provided as a KornShell executable scripts. MKS cannot be responsible for proper functionality of this code if you alter the bzdiff.sh and bzcmp.sh files in any way.
