NAME

String::Multibyte::Grapheme - internally used by String::Multibyte for Default Grapheme Clusters in Unicode

SYNOPSIS

    use String::Multibyte;
    $gra = String::Multibyte->new('Grapheme');
    $gra_length = $gra->length($unicode_string);

DESCRIPTION

String::Multibyte::Grapheme is used for graphemewise manipulation of strings in Perl's internal format for Unicode (see the perlunicode manpage).

CAVEAT

This module requires Perl 5.8.0 or later.

Grapheme ranges (no, no longer character ranges) are not supported.

This module is based on default grapheme clusters according to Unicode Standard Annex #29 for Unicode 4.0.0 (UAX #29-4), which is similar to legacy grapheme clusters of Unicode 5.1.0 (UAX #29-13) or later.

WHAT THIS MODULE DOES IS OLD.
