While installing MKS products can be as simple as inserting the product CD and following the instructions on the dialogs that appear, there are areas that can benefit from additional explanation. Besides the standard installation procedures for MKS Toolkit, MKS AlertCentre, MKS Lex & Yacc, and MKS X/Server, there are two special types of installation: silent installation and administrative installation.This page and the others discussed below provide detailed instructions on performing all these types of installations.

Standard MKS Product Installation

Silent Installation

Administrative Installation

An administrative installation is designed for use in situations where a company has multiple licenses for installing MKS Toolkit. Since all installations for this company will use the same serial number, PIN, and access key, it is useful to have this information entered only once and then have it appear automatically for each individual installation.
